Terms & Conditions
Welcome to my practice website. By accessing or using this site, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully. These terms are intended to clarify the use of this website and the nature of services provided.
1. Services Provided
This website is for informational and professional purposes only. Joanna Bahl, LCSW, provides psychotherapy and life skills coaching services to clients located in California via secure telehealth platforms. Services are not intended as a substitute for emergency or crisis intervention. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
2. Client Relationship
Using this website or contacting Joanna Bahl, LCSW, does not establish a therapist-client relationship. A formal relationship begins only after a consultation, signed consent forms, and agreement to treatment have been completed.
3. Telehealth
All therapy and coaching sessions are conducted virtually. You agree to engage in sessions from a private and distraction-free space within California. Clients are responsible for ensuring their own internet connectivity and confidentiality on their end.
4. Privacy & Confidentiality
All therapy services comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Information collected through this site (e.g., contact forms) will be kept confidential and used only for professional communication purposes. Please avoid submitting sensitive or clinical information through the website contact form.
5. Fees & Cancellation Policy
Fees for therapy and coaching services will be discussed and agreed upon before beginning services. Payment is due at the time of service.
If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged 50% of the session fee for the first occurrence.
Subsequent late cancellations or no-shows will be charged the full session fee.
6. Coaching Disclaimer
Life skills coaching is not a substitute for mental health treatment or psychotherapy. Coaching clients must understand the difference and will be referred to clinical services if mental health concerns arise beyond the scope of coaching.
7. Website Content
All content on this site is intended for general informational purposes only and does not constitute medical or psychological advice. While efforts are made to keep information accurate and up to date, there are no guarantees.
8. Changes to Terms
These terms may be updated periodically. Your continued use of the website indicates your acceptance of any changes.
